Firstly, Paul is a fantastic player. Such a significant control and understanding of body movements make his sound, assertion, and consistency, very inspiring. He is a great technician, and has helped me recognise how technique is a means to unlock the creativity that we are naturally drawn to, and to celebrate that individuality. I’ve been struggling with R.S.I. for the last year, leading to me having to change to traditional grip involuntarily, but within hours Paul had helped me feel less tension than after many hours of physiotherapy. He is honest, to help build a realistic view of myself from which to build. He is supportive, and he helped demystify the mental obstacles that I have built for myself. Secondly, and just as equally, Paul is a fantastic teacher.
