Paul is such an experienced, well read and thorough drum educator and musician. He has an incredible ability to get to the heart of whatever your issue is and give you concise and focused information on how to conquer it. For me it was technique. Having never had formal tuition, I was very stiff and hit from the elbow and shoulder. Within a matter of weeks with Paul’s expert guidance, input and advice, he had my hands in much better shape, not just technically but musically too which opened up a whole new range of possibilities. His lessons, techniques, advice and friendship are still with me today nearly twenty years on from first studying with him, and I can say categorically I wouldn’t be the musician I am today without Paul
